What is Oportunly?
Oportunly is an internship outreach platform for students. It helps you find recruiters, team leads and alumni at target companies, prepare personal messages from your CV, and follow up from your own email and LinkedIn accounts. You review the drafts before starting a campaign. It is not a job board or a placement agency.
Can I use Oportunly as soon as I join the waitlist?
Not automatically. Product access is currently by invitation. Joining the waitlist is free, requires no card, and gives you launch updates and 20% off when general access opens.
Isn't this just spam?
No. Low volume, one message written for one person, sent from your own address, with a plain opt-out line in every email. It is how professionals already network, without the busywork and the fear of hitting send. The full list of rules is on the page Why this is not spam.
Where do the messages go out from?
Emails from your own Gmail or Outlook, LinkedIn messages from your own LinkedIn profile. Replies land straight in your inbox or your LinkedIn, and you own every relationship, exactly as if you had written each one by hand.
Can this get my Gmail or LinkedIn account restricted?
We send the way a careful person would: at most 30 emails and 20 LinkedIn messages a day per account, only in your working hours, with a random pause of a few seconds between each one, and never to anyone who replied or asked to be left alone. That is well inside what Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn treat as normal use. Automation of any kind carries some risk on LinkedIn, so we keep the pace low on purpose and you can pause at any time.
What access do you get to my accounts?
You connect Gmail, Outlook or LinkedIn on the provider's own screen. Oportunly never sees or stores your password. The connection is used to send your messages and to notice when someone replies, so follow-ups stop. You can disconnect it from Channels at any time, and everything already sent stays in your own inbox.
What do I actually have to do?
Upload your CV and say where you want to work. Oportunly finds the right people, verifies their email, writes each message from your CV and follows up on time, by email in office hours and on LinkedIn when people actually scroll. You read the drafts, start the campaign, and take the meeting.
Can I edit or stop a message before it goes out?
Yes. Every first message is drafted before the campaign starts: read them, change any you like, delete the ones you do not want. Once you press start, Oportunly sends the ones you kept, in the hours you set. You can pause a campaign or remove a person from it at any time.
How many messages and follow-ups go out?
You choose the pace when you build a campaign, up to the daily cap of 30 emails and 20 LinkedIn messages per account. A sequence is a first message and polite follow-ups a few days apart. Someone who replies, bounces or asks to stop leaves the sequence that moment, in every campaign.
Will the people I write to know it was automated?
Every message goes out from your own address, under your name, written from your CV for that one person, and every email closes with a plain line saying they can reply to opt out. There is no Oportunly branding. Follow-ups stop the instant they answer.
What if nobody replies?
Some messages will not receive a reply. Results depend on your fit, timing and the person you contact. Use your dashboard to compare the responses to your own campaigns and adjust your list or message. Oportunly does not guarantee delivery, replies, interviews or a job offer.
How is this different from Easy Apply or auto-apply tools?
Those tools push you into the same queue as everyone else, and a screening filter decides before a human reads you. Oportunly writes to the person who can actually say yes (an alumnus, a team lead, a founder), from your own inbox. Almost nobody does that, so you are not competing, and one reply can mean a referral or a call this week.
How much of my time does it take?
About five minutes to set up a search, a few minutes to read the drafts before a campaign starts, and then whatever time you spend answering replies. The finding, verifying, writing and following up run on their own.
Does it work outside my country, and in which language?
Yes. Pick any cities and sectors: the first cohort is writing to London, Berlin, Madrid, Paris and beyond. Messages are drafted in English today, which is what most European hiring teams read. Other languages are on the list; tell us yours at hello@oportunly.com.
Is it only for internships?
No. It works the same for graduate roles, part-time and first jobs: you tell Oportunly what you are looking for and it finds the people who hire for that. Most of the first cohort is looking for internships, which is why the site talks about them.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Oportunly is built for the EU from day one: it only contacts people at professional addresses about a professional matter, every email carries an opt-out, every removal request is honored, and you can export or delete everything about you from your account. What data do you keep about the people I contact?
Name, role, company and a work address or LinkedIn profile, found on public professional sources, kept for the legitimate purpose of your job search, and deleted when you delete the list or your account. Anyone who asks to be left alone is not contacted again.
Does it help beyond the internship?
Yes. Every message goes out from your own LinkedIn and your own inbox, so every reply is a real contact at a company you care about, in your own network, not ours. Those people keep seeing your name and can open doors months after the search ends.
What will it cost?
